Central America - September-ish 07

OK, guys, after my plea for company in Mexico seemed to work (thanks Garry!), thought I'd dip my toe in the water again, and see if anybody is mooching around Central America over the next few weeks? I'm hoping to cross into Guatemala late next week, and after that just see where I end up. Vague plan is to spend some time in Belize learning to dive, and Costa Rica learning to surf. other than that, not sure...

Anyone around?

Al

I'm in Colombia at the moment but will be flying out of Bogota to Panama in about 3 weeks time. Maybe our ways will cross somewhere in Central America?

baja -16-20-september

hi there,
i am now in san francisco and will go into baja between 16 and 20 of september. so we dont see each other.
i am planning on doing the baja, move over the mainland to go into copper canyon and riding then south towards climbing the high vulcanos in mexico.
from there on i dont have yet concret plannings for the rest of the trip.
i ride a dr 650 and did so far 1000km in the states from seattle to the east and turned at pikes peak westward again.
i would like to sell the bike in costa rica, where i fly out at 16.12.2007
if anybody is out there at the same time, maybe we could meet somewhere to have a chat and ride some miles together.
does anybody know about crossing the borders and insurance papers for the trip?
i had problems to post here, so here my email
elmisti@gmx.de
have a fun and save trip

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
