Should not take more than 20 minutes at the most. The office is 21 kilometers south of the border. If you need to get money stop at an ATM before you get there.

Hi Growler........had to end our trip at Belize.....my riding buddy is diabetic and was having sugar level swings that were of concern so we made a gut wrenching decision to turn back....had to cancel the crossing with Ludwig.
Currently back in Muskoka Ontario after 14500 k of great travel through Mexico.
Wish you well on your trip....

happy new year to all! Just an update on where I am at.
Met a bunch of riders on Stalratte and some has become good friends and ride together for a while. Some will bump into on the road again down south. Currently I am about 2 km near the equator in Ecuador. The trip has been amazing and full of stories. Stayed in a hotel that is by the equator to celebrate new year with seven other bikers. Had a great time. The place is called Hacienda Guachala, wonderful old hacienda that is more like a museum and each room has it's own fire place. It's well worth the money for a bit of R&R during an extended travel like this. will keep on heading south on an easy pace.
If you are on the road in the general direction, please send me an email if you like to meet up. Yansermc@yahoo.com

California licensed, 2007 Red KLR650 with full touring options will be completing a tour down to southern part of S. America. Would like to sell it to fly home. Anyone planning to ride the other way around should take at a look. Bike has gone through extensive maintenance to prepare for a very long trip, including changing out all the bearings with top quality brands plus at least 15 other modifications to make it trouble free for many miles. Bike is expected to have 40,000 miles on the clock when the trip is done. Top care has been done to keep the bike in good running order.
Anyone interested should contact me buy email: yansermc@yahoo.com. Bike should be ready to hand over around middle of March, 2013.

I would like to sell the bike in BA or Santiago, Chile. It all depends on how the transaction can go.
I have not decided on a price yet as it depends on the condition of the bike when I sell it. I am thinking around the price of USD5000 with all e touring gears and even my carbon helmet and riding boots, plus whatever spare parts that I have bought for the trip.

I am close to the end of the trip now and the bike can be delivered in the south of Chile or Argentina in very attractive package. Any interested party please contact me by email: yansermc@yahoo.com for details.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
