China Crossing (to Pakistan) - Sept 2019 - Kyrgyzstan OR Tajikistan

Hi all,

Planning ahead a bit for 2019

I was supposed to leave on my trip in 2017 but circumstances meant pulling out 2 weeks prior to departure.

I had a deposit down to cross from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan through China on a 4 day trip

However now I am aware that the Qolma/Kulma Pass from Tajikistan seems ot be open too and is a much shorter time (1 day?) in China

Seeking a group to cross with mid to late September

Most cost effective option is preferred.

I am solo on a bike so ideally would be great to have a 4WD in the group that can carry the guide

I have my the contacts from my previous planning with Kashgar Newland Travel whom I am trying to follow up to see if they can offer anything for the Qolma crossing

Mate very interested. We are 2 x riders (36yo male + 35yo female) wanting to get from Tajikistan to Pakistan in early Sep. Would like to have time up our sleeve to get into Indian upper Himalaya end of Sep.

Hi
We are also planning a China crossing from Kyrgyzstan (Irkeshtam or Torugart Pass) to Pakistan in early September 2019. We want to form a group, until now 2 trucks are in the group. One with a additional seat for a guide. From 4 agencies we have got offers. Please contact us if you are interessed.

Hey guys,

we're a couple from germany and are also planning to cross from tajikistan to china on our Motorbikes, as it is probably much faster and therefore much cheaper (hopefully) than kirgistan.
we plan to cross early september, means something like between the 1st and 5th or so.

We didn't check on any tour guide operator yet, so if anybody (especially dylan as you have pretty much the same intinerary so far is interested to share the costs give me a shout!

Chears,
Katja

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
