Mongolia to Nepal through China June 2020
Hello to any travellers travelling through China in June 2020? One of the operators who advertises on the HUBB has published next year's China dates from Mongolia to Nepal - June 3rd to 23rd 2020. Is anyone planning to go this route (or know someone) who would be interested in travelling in a group to reduce costs? I will be motorcycling solo but I think the operator arranges for four wheeled vehicles as well. Please only respond if you are seriously considering this route.
I did a little research into costs to ship from either Kyrgyzstan or Mongolia to Nepal but couldn't find an option. I only found a flight from Tajikizstan to Delhi and taking the costs into account, though lower, for the difference, I'd rather travel through China.
Unless someone knows a £1k or thereabouts way to get from either Kyrgyzstan or Mongolia to Nepal?
Thanks very ,much
Phil C

I guess your time restraints limit you do much as riding to the start point is out of the question ?
Is Mongolia to Nepal even possible in 3 weeks, it is a huge, huge distance
I lived in China for 4 years and hold a full car plus big bike Chines driving licence.

Hi Santosh,
Apologies for the delay, I thought I'd be notified when people responded to the thread but it seems I was mistaken. I'm sure there's a way to do it, just haven't figured it out yet :-).
Anyway, excellent news if you can arrange for June. I've looked at shipping from Kyrgyzstan as and alternative but the Nepal shipping company don't do that route and I'm really keen to get to Mongolia anyway as my trip will probably be just once in a lifetime.
Nothing is set in stone at the moment but as soon as I know more I'll post back.
Thanks very much and look forward to speaking soon.
Phil

Hi Vette,
Thanks for your message.
Yes, it is a very long way and time is limited but China Exped are doing Erenhot to Kathmandu on those dates which also coincide very well with warmer weather for my ongoing circumnavigation which makes it ideal in every way, I'm still working out the logistics but that is a definitive date I'm working towards. As long as spaces are still available when I finally get it booked.
If my planning doesn't go well then I will probably try and ship the bike over or potentially hire something over there just for those few weeks.
Do you run any tours to/through China, if you hold all the correct licenses then if you're interested I'd love to chat more about it?
Cheers,
Phil
