Continental Divide North to South - August 2017
Four experienced off-road/DS riders are riding the entire Continental Divide, N to S, in August 2017, and returning back to Canada via the BDR's. We plan to take a month, and welcome other riders for all or part. Two of us are leaving Vancouver, and meeting up with another in Kamloops, BC and then meeting the 4th rider in southern Alberta on or about August 1st. We plan to camp as much as possible. Two of us are on Ktm 690s, one on a DR650 and the other on a GS800.

GDR August
Hi My name is Ian. I have been planning the same ride leaving Kelowna/Banff 01Aug2017, Continental Divide Ride to Antelope Wells. Back via continental divide then branching off to do the western part of the Trans-America through Colorado and Oregon. Up to Vancouver and home by 08Sep2017 at the latest (I have another trip organised).
My riding buddy may have to drop out with health problems.
I am an experienced off-road rider (35 years of it), mainly enduros and trail-rides (dual sport over here). I rode from Japan to Athens in 2007.

Also NZ and Chile. I also like to camp as much as possible.
I have an adventurised KTM530 in Canada with all the gear for prolonged self-sufficient travel.
I would appreciate the opportunity to tag along if my buddy drops out.
Cheers,

Hey,
Sounds like an awesome trip. I'm leaving Anchorage mid June, heading up to Prudhoe Bay and then heading down through Canada to see family in Vancouver. Then heading out down through the states. Originally I was planning on riding WABDR ORBDR then heading down through Cali, but this trip sounds cool... Would you mind if I messaged you once I'm in Vancouver to see about maybe joining along for a stretch? If you want, I can PM you my email address and talk there?
Cheers,
George

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
