Cross Egypt and Sudan together
Hi
We are in Turkey at the moment and will be here going via Syria and Jordan to Egypt arriving early October. It seems a sound idea to have a few travel companions for North Africa heading down the East coast.
We are two people on two BMW F650GS bikes. To read / find out more about us and our travels please look at www.long-way-home.com.
Is any one doing this route about this time and would like to meet?
Kind regards
Sandi & Paul

Hi
Will be about at that time. Similiar route, heading down to the family in SA. Riding a KTM 640.
Anyway, get in touch if you're keen as I'd be keen to hook up with some people for that stage as well.
regards
Ian

Egypt 22nd Sept
Hi Ian
Thanks for your post! Will be great to meet up. Our plan is basically:
2 days Red Sea then to Alexandria. Visit Cairo by train to do the Sudanese visa and obligatory pyramids. Then the route we are thinking of is from Alexandria via the White Desert (Siwa oasis) down to Luxor.
In any case... How are your plans progressing? Can we meet in Alexandria?
And we need to get in touch with Omar to organise meeting him. Perhaps we could leave messages with Omar? Would that be ok?
We will try SMS Omar tonight.
Our email is long-way-home@hotmail.com
Telephone 44 (0)7966246007 Please SMS
Best
Paul & Sandi

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
