Touring Europe with girlfriend, currently Slovenia -> Croatia -> Slovakia
Hi All, I'd been planning to post this before we left, but never got round to it. My girlfriend and I are currently 10 days into our tour of Europe on my Kawasaki Versys.
Right now (26th May) we're having a couple of days rest in Italy near Verona. We don't have a strict plan, or really any plan other than a list of countries, next up is: Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, maybe Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France (again) and then home to the UK. Basically looping anticlockwise
We'd love to meet up with fellow bikers, either on similar travels, or just in their home countries.
A bit about us, we're in our 20's, first time motorcycling abroad, camping all the way, hoping to free camp some times, although haven't managed to yet.
If you'd like to meet you can leave a message here, email me on matt(at)mattbearman.co.uk or text +44 7860 350 137.
Thanks,
Matt and Sophina

Route planned, there is none just ideas, time planned, none, what ever it takes.
If your around the same area some time be good to meet up for a , by the way we are to old guy's and intend to camp as much as possible .

Hey bushman, that sound like a definite possibility, we should be able to meet heading in opposite directions I'll keep this post updated with our location and plans.
Tonight is our last night in Italy, took the day off riding to see Venice, first touristy thing we've done so far, and it was a great day.
We've changed our planned route slightly, tomorrow is into Slovenia for a couple of days, then Croatia and then on to Slovakia. If anyone living or travelling in these countries would like to meed up please let me know.
Not sure how easy wifi will be to get, so the best way to get in touch is to text me on +44 7860 350 137

Hungary calling
Hi, it's Andy Boda, Hungary, 47, freelancer journalist-blogger ( Hétlövet - sorry, Hungarian only, but there are some pics and videos) if you ride around, and wanna meet up somewhere, we could... I'm in Dunaújváros, a unique city, 70 kms southly to Budapest at the road 6, by the Danube. My flat is too small, so I can't invite you to sleep by me, but in 20 kms to the south, Dunaföldvár, a beautiful small city with friendly folks, a lot of friends, fine wines, good food, and there is a fine camp-place you can stay some days if you like. I can help to arrange everything... in case you need anything - no problem, we can solve all problems... Just arrived from Slowenia - with three friends we made a fine trip, 1700 kms in 3 days, criss-cross the mountains and the Istria... 23-30 June we go to the Alps-Dolomites with 8 bikes and some cars for another 4000 kms... OK... no more words and bullshit - in case you can reach me on my mail (bodacap@gmail.com) or my cell 0-24: 0036-209571971. Take care: Andy

Hi Andy,
That sounds good, we'll be heading into Hungary soon from Croatia, planning to stay at Biker camp in Budapest, so we could meet up with you on the way there.
We'll work out a route and find camping near by and then let you know when we'll be arriving, should be in 2 or 3 days.
Matt and Sophina

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
