Hello Paul,
I had planned (see HUB) to be in Vlad this week (planned 6 months ago for start east to west June 1) However due to the non sale of my house I will need to postpone until next year. I will be riding in Europe in August though. My question : Do you plan to keep a blog of your travels.
If not- consider it- it is simple and your friends/folks at home can follow you progress on an automatic map. The cost is nil.
I would like to follow you when you leave and see how you fare.
kind regards

Hi Folks,
I'm resting up here in Ulan-Ude at Rb 600 a night hostel. Looks brand new with own resturant. I will head towards Mongolia on the 15th June. Wanted to enter from Chita, Sat nav only tells where I am not how to get there as I could'nt get a map at the time. but the road from Chita to Ulan - ude was rough but very pleasent indeed, I hope to meet at least one of you between Ulaan Baataar and Lake Baikal, I'm on, Blue Old F650 Silver helmet, Tatty Green jacket.
Ride safe,
Paul.

Hi RTW Paul,
I'm not sure this is right but just went out side with Garmin and got
N 51' 50' 399'
E 107' 36' 329
I hope that's is correct, The hotel is brand new, I think I'm one of their first guests. They don't speak English, but knows a lady that can.
Good Luck,
Paul.

Brilliant, It looks like a plan is coming together. UPS have my parts and in 1 hour I will collect them and start fixing the bike. Should be heading East, leaving Novosibirsk by 17th June and in Baikal by 26th or so.
Am going slowly after the bike broke and we can't afford that twice. Bloody Russian roads!
