Europe trip - compadres wanted
Hi.
I am posting this on behalf of a good friend, let's call him Bal. Bal has traveled extensively on bikes and on foot and has had one of the most interesting lives of anybody I have ever met. He is based in Cornwall.
Bal has an illness which affects him, physically, on a day to day basis which means that you can't forecast how it will affect him from one day to the next. Some days the fatigue will be too much which will result in being holed up, others, he can ride a reasonable amount (several hours in one go). However, he wishes to do a trip through Europe with no heavy agenda, just a general "That way!" kind of thing. Whether it is Eastern Europe or just to the south of France.
The machine he will probably use will either be his 30 year old 250 Spacey or a trike, or any of his other stablemates which changes regularly.
The main criteria is someone who has no real need to stick to a rigid agenda and no destination in mind, but will have one hell of an experience.
The total time will be limited to 4 weeks due to medical commitments, but this may change to 8 weeks next year.
If anyone, male or female, is interested in this kind of adventure, please contact me, in the first instance, and I will pass on contact details.
Feel free to ask any questions, and I will also stress you will not be responsible for Bal at any time, so Medically or mechanically, this will be sorted beforehand and not left at your door.
Cheers.

I think his preference would be cheap hotels, hostels, as well as some camping, but there would be a degree of flexibility depending on the other party(ies).

I'm looking for a few weeks adventure next spring/early summer, no plans open to any ideas, however, poverty dictates a fair bit of time under canvas.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
