France/Alps Early June 2011
Thinking of doing a tour of the Alps first/second week of June; have pencilled in the Route de Napoleon, a few of the most famous passes Col d'Iseran etc, etc (still researching best routes).
Have a good guide to circling the Mont Blanc Massif which involves crossing into Switzerland and Italy.
Am very flexible about routes etc. Will probably be taking camping equip.
If anyone wants to join me for some/all of the way you would be very welcome. I ride at a medium speed on a CB500.

Hi Blackbird, I looked up the Oberwald on google maps and it does look great so maybe will have to include that in my itinery!
Any other ideas eg good routes back up thru France/Germany. I hear the Vosges are supposed to be quite good.

Have just booked my ferry so committed now!
Leaving Dover on the 2105 P&O ferry on Thurs 2 June, returning 8 days later. Heading south in search of great roads and warmer weather ...
Would be great to hook up with a few fellow travellers out on the road.
May well head for Switzerland via Black Forest ...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
