Smile Free time from 10th - 30th June

Well, I have up to 20 days free from the 10th June
Anyone else free for a mini adventure during this time?
I'm in the UK (Cotswolds) I quite fancy a few days playing in the Black Forest but other than that I'm easy.
Depending on the length of time away & where I/we get too I'm happy under canvas or B&B or a mixture.
Bones creak a bit these days but still ride a GSX1400 & prefer to avoid m/ways whenever possible. Like too cruise & enjoy the scenery ....till an exceptionally good bit of road pulls me in
So long as the roads are good (& dry), the food tasty & the cheap I'm happy.

Hi Paul,
Not that close to you at present I am afraid, at our place in France. Could be free but the fuel situation in France still has limited supplies in places and getting up to Germany could be difficult at present.

Hi Graham, yes I've been watching the fuel situation. I could fill up this side then head down through Belgium but that's a bit boring & messes up my planned stopover in Troyes........maybe I'll look for a plan B & do that one after they sort themselves out........I'm off somewhere, but I can always decide the night before....see which direction has the best weather :-).
If you fancy a run out next time your this side of the water drop me a line.

Hi Graham, I see they are having thunderstorms at the moment in the Forest region. I can make my departure date anytime between 10 - 20th June so I shall just wait & see if the weather & fuel situation sort themselves out.
If not I shall just look & see who is having the best of the weather.........so I may well be in touch if the sun is shining over your way

Hi Graham, you must have been looking at the same forecast as myself. Next weekend is looking favourite at the moment.......showing sun here, on the way (Reims) & when I get there. Here's hoping they don't change their minds.

Absolute magic, my new favourite playground, especially the southern end.
Had a great week then the thunderstorms returned. Hoping for a return trip before summers end.

Glad to hear you avoided the rain. Did you find any one to accompany you or did you go it alone in the end?

Went on my lonesome, but plenty of bikers out to play when I arrived :-)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
