Iran Pakistan Border, Bam to Quetta, Heading East
Hi All.
This is just a note to say that there will be several bikers in Bam within the next week or so preparing to go onwards to Quetta. I am taking it upon myself to invite all and sundry who would care to join up in convoy with us for what promises to be a trying ride into Pakistan. I am currently in Esfahan for another night before heading further East. Don't hesitate to get in touch.

Iran-Pakistan route
Hello,
Do you have any suggestions for routes from Turkey, through Iran and Pakistan to China border?
Safety?
Fuel?
Road surface?
Accommodation/camping?
We plan April/May 2012

Hi!
I am very much interested in this area as we are planning a trip from Shanghai to South Africa and Pakistan/Iran is pretty much in our route plan.
We have been several times warned about the security concerns in the area of Balouchistan where you mention you are crossing now, and we would totally appreciate 1st hand news on the place.
I guess by now you all crossed, how was that? Any major problems?
Thanks in advance for the info.
@rupertu: we are planning to start our trip in 22nd of April, thus arriving in Kashgar and down the Karakorum Highway shortly after they open the border pass (somewhat early/mid May). Let's keep in touch if you are following that route in the same days.
Cheers,
-kali-

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
