Kyrgyzstan-China-Nepal in August 2019
Hi there!
I´m Stefan, a 55 y.o. solo German biker, starting from home end of April and will arrive in Kyrgyzstan end of of July. I then plan to cross China and Tibet heading for Nepal during August, but couldn´t find any companions to make the trip affordable so far. I´m already in contact with two travelling agencies that sendt me their itinerarys and quotations - and waiting for an answer from a third one.
So: Is there anybody planning to do the same route at the same time (a period of 15-18 days between end of July and end of August 2019)?
Please answer in the forum or directly email to teftrip@gmx.de - general informations on how to find company elsewhere would be very, very welcome as well - thanks in advance!
Hope to hear from a bunch of you soon, Stefan

Hi Stefan, I'm doing solo London to Hong Kong from Aug19 and hope to be entering China from Kyrgystan in Sep19, ideally through Tibet to visit the Everest North base camp.
Even if we don't manage to share a guide in China it would be good to perhaps share some tarmac along the way.

Hey Fmtango!
Sounds good. Thanks for the offer, but even though I'm a rather slow traveller you could hardly catch up, as I'm in Athens already. Even more I don't hold the Turkmen Visa yet, but I have the one of Pakistan and am ready to change my route (I don´t have a passage through China yet either).
All the best for you, drive safe, Stefan

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
