Kyrgyzstan China Pakistan KKH August
Hi there,
I am looking to go from Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan around August this year and am seeking fellow travellers to split the cost. Im really just interested in getting across for as little as possible so I am looking for either a group that I could join up with or anyone that would be interested in sharing a guide or truck. I will be riding a bike as part of my Uk to NZ trip.
From the reading on here it seems Newland or Stantours is the way to go but putting the bike on a truck seemed cheap so if anyone has experience with that feel free to reply or message.
Cheers
Hayden

Hi Hayden,
Can't help you lower the cost as we did this same route in August 2010 as part of a 'Hubb group'. Just for your information, we used Newlands travel and had no real problems.
I'm sure you'll find some like minded people on the Hubb as you've picked the ideal time to cross.
If you need any information please feel free to either PM me for send me an email - address is on our travel blog (below) where we've tried to list relevant info about border crossings etc and written (too much) about our experiences.

Cheers for the link but I have already read quite a bit of your blog. There is a good amount of detail on there.
I will send you a email about a few specific things though.

Will guide you to my place.
HOPE THIS WILL MINIMIZE YOUR LOGGING COST FOR A FEW DAYS.

Hi guys,
Unfortunately I have had to curtail this trip due to health reasons so will only be going around Europe. Best of luck to you and hopefully I'll get to deal with Chinese bureaucracy in another couple of years.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
