London France Spain Italy By Scooter.
Picking up a Scooter in London 125cc whatever is available, I did see a new Chinese built model available in the UK that they sell for about 800 Euro dirt cheap. Tour the UK a bit, then take ferry across to France, either go up to Netherlands, hear they don't allow scooters on certain road or some kind of special permit required. Then back through France, Brussels, Down coast of spain, Barcalona, across the top of Italy to Austria, and Slovakia. Then down the Mediteranian coast of Italy. May jump a train if they let vehicles on. Mostly hostels, camping and staying out of major cities if possible. As economical as possible. Would love company, but don't mind doing it alone.

I am not interested in this trip but I just thought I would add a couple of comments.
Whatever scooter you get, make sure you can get spare parts for them in mainland Europe. These cheap Chinese, South Korean machines are reknown for breaking down.
You didn`t say WHEN you were going on this trip, it May help other people to make up their minds.
Which country do you think there is a problem riding scooters on certain roads? The Netherlands? Let me know and I will find that out for you.
Bikes on trains. The only one i know is Autozug.de and I can tell you that for the type of travel you are planning that it is expensive.
My advice is to get a Vespa off e-bay and do a bit of fettling before setting off. Before you go make sure you get all the addresses for Vespa clubs on your route.
There are two books by Peter Moore that may interest you, where he buys a Vespa on E-Bay Italy and comes up from Australia to collect it and rides it round Europe.
1. Vroom by the sea
2. Vroom with a view
You can get them on Amozon.uk
It sounds like a good trip.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
