London to Australia- August 2002
Hi,
I'm planning a trip from London to OZ. Starting Early August 2002. Anyone elese considering the same journey and would like to hook up?
So far, only picked the start and destination points so a long way to go, any advise on routings at this time of year gratefully receieved.

Hi Scooty,
I'm departing from Holland on 10 august, hedding east. (Germany, Tchechie, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkye, Iran, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar (I hope), Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Maleisia, Indonesia... and hop over to Australia...
Anyway.. that's the first part.
I know a few more guy's and girls are hedding in the same diection... You'l find them on the board here.
It would be nice to meet up sometimes. What will be your route?

I am heading to NZ in August and will soon be getting all the necessary paperwork together and my route is similar to Maarteens......

All preparations going well for my UK to Oz trip, departing Sept. 2nd 2002. Following in everbody's tyre tracks by the sound of it!
Let's just hope Bush keeps out of Iraq.

Maarten,
My route I think , is France, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria,Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Nepal (Fly Bike to Bangkok). Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, OZ.
I'm not so far in the planning stage so don't know yet what my schedule is like. Lets stay in touch on the BB.

Could be interested. Am planning to move to Melbourne in October, was thinking of flying to Perth and then playing in the outback on a bike from there to Melbourne. How long were you thinking of taking to get to Oz?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
