London to Mongolia to Tokyo...
OK putting this one out there. I'm leaving in late June and heading for Istanbul and then to Azerbaijan. From there across Turk, UZ and into Taj for the Pamir. Then north to Kyrg, Kaz, Russia and Mongolia. Finally back into Russia to Vladivostock and onot the ferry. I aim to arrive by early September.
It would be great to know who's out there. Company would be cool for any part.

When are you thinking about the run? I've a similar plan in the works for summer of 2011. But I was considering on making the run across northern EU to Moscow, and then the loop to Tuva, Mongolia -- back into Russia and along the Chinese border to Vladivostok -- ferry to Hokaido, down to Tokyo and ship the bike back via Yokohama. Going to spend the next year stuffing as much Russian into my noggin as possible.

I am heading that way, and will be alone from Stalingrad (Volvagrad) all the way to Novosibirsk. So it would be great if we can do the leg together.
I have found some great things to see en route.
Drop me a skype or an email ryanjohnhall@gmail.com and we can liaise from there, if it fits in.
I am doing the trip on a Honda XL600

I'm going to get to Ukraine around mid June, then Russia, Kaz, Russia, Mongolia. Wanted to make it to Mongolia for Naadan Festival on 11th 12th July but think I might be a bit late, and I'm not going to rush and stress, thats not the point of the trip.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
