madrid-capetown november 06
Hola to everyone,
I'm leaving on october 28th from Madrid. My route is Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, cross the congos -depending on the political situation- and down to South Africa. I speak spanish and french and I ride a r100gs.
If you have any comments or doubts please email me. Anyone interested in meeting up on the route is welcome! I'm 30, easygoing and have no plans for at least several months!!
Hope to see some of you soon!
cheers,
leo

I'm going that way too
Hi Leo,
I'm leaving London for Cape Town in mid-October. My route is similar to yours except I'm going across Algeria/Niger, but after that I'm going down the west coast (Congo, Angola etc). Have a look at my website for more details www.loisontheloose.com and maybe we'll bump into each other somewhere.
See you on the road!
Cheers,
Lois

Hi Leo,
I will be doing a similar trip, leaving beginning of November. The only sure timelines I have is Dakar beginning December and Festival au desert in January.

I'm not leaving until 9th November, so either you will have to hang around for a while, or I'll have to invent a time machine.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
