Hello Mike. Went across the US to Toronto, back across Canada to Vancouver Island, then back down West Coast US to Southern CA last September/October. Been to NZ for a month, (hire Car) came to US beginning of March, and did Las Vegas on bike with Mrs W. (Posed down Strip!) Return home 29th March, but contemplating coming back to drive bike across to Florida, and ship it home? Been quoted 400 dollars, Miami - UK, which is cheaper than when I shipped the other one back 2 and a half years ago, much to my surprise. Hadn't planned to ship it home as it is a K1200LT, and not very easily handled in confined spaces, but didn't find it as bad this time. Hope all is well with you. Incidentally, met a UK biker coming down the West Coast last year, got his picture, but can't remember his name? Her had shipped his bike to Canada, but had a lot of hassle with Canadian customs, and stayed clear of Canada on his way across from East to West coast. Surprised me, as I found the Canadians ok, but the yanks were an officious bunch?! Stay safe, and looking forward to a pint and a chat. George.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
