Mexico?
I am working up to my longer SA trip in a year or two and was thinking about exploring the country next door a little bit more. Would prefer to share it if possible, so I thought I would post up. Anyone need a travel companion for exploring some part of Mexico from the U.S.?
I am reasonably flexible between now and the fall of this year. I have a few commitments here and there, but could potentially do 1 to 3 weeks sometime. July and August are probably out for me, though.

Now potentially looking at late April, early May for a Copper Canyon trip. Maybe one taker (if he can make it then). Just thought I would update.

Copper Canyon..... yeeehaaahhh
Have fun going down to Copper Canyon...... we did that on our RTW in Nov 07, check out some pics and videos if you're interested.

If you want any advice or help, just give me a shout. I managed to fall off the bike 17 times in one day, and we only covered around 30km or so by taking a "shortcut" to avoid backtracking round the canyon for 200km! The road we took was actually a donkey track, but man, what an adventure...... awesome, and always a highlight when people ask about the trip!
Cheers,
Rik.

Actually, it now looks like I might be out of this for the time being. Enjoy and maybe some of the people that contacted me might get in touch with you.

I'm damn firm on departing within 1 week from McAllen, with a goal of Panama. I've got about 9 months of experience in MX on sport bikes, but zero on enduros. I'm game for monterrey, zacatecas, DF, or any of the beach areas.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
