Mexico-Central/South America 2004

I'm planning a trip from San Diego through Mexico (Baja) and possibly continue into Central and South America in April/04 - June/04. KLR 650. I plan to ride down to San Diego from Calgary Canada this summer and store my bike there over the winter and then leave from San Diego in April or May/04.

Yo Sig,

I'm planning a trip from Florida to San Diego and then onto Argentina in May 2004. Let me know what your route/dates are for your trip, maybe we can hook up. Drop me a line at ewilkening@msn.com.

I'm looking to head out on a World Tour starting with the Americas in August 2004. So if your plans get pushed back let me know. We just might hook up.

I'm riding to CA tomorrow (Aug. 12/03) and leaving my KLR 650 in San Diego until December. In December I'll fly back down to San Diego head into Mexico for Dec. 10/03 - Jan. 10/04 and leave my bike in somewhere in Southern Mexico. Then next spring (March - April/04), I'll fly back down to Mexico and continue into Central America. Due to work restraints I'm doing this trip in stages. Interested folks and/or feedback for my plan would be appreciated.

Sig, have you found a place to leave the bike in Mexico? Send me an email and I'll give you some info on someone you may be able to leave it with.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
