Mexico mid Dec. riders wanted
Anybody interested in riding into Mexico and Central America leaving around December 13 I would have to be back early January 2008. I am in the Chicago area and would trailer the bike down to the boarder and start riding from there, I have a KLR and a v-strom and haven’t decided on which to take yet. I speak a little Spanish and have been down there many times. I am up for anything and would be interested in traveling with someone or meeting up. I could also haul two more bikes down. Mike C.

Mexico in Dec
Hello,
I am currently in Chicago having been on the road for 5 months. Leaving first week of Nov and heading down the East coast of Mexico to Central America and then up the West coast in the spring.
Don't know if we can hook up. How far south will you go? I will likely take it slow as I will be in Cancun the last week of Jan.
Email me if you thing something might work.

Let's talk!
Mike-
I've been trying to set something like this up for a bit now as in trailering to the border, riding, and trailering back. This would avoid the nasty winter cold. That timeframe would work for me. So far, amoungst my friends, I've had no takers. Send me a pm and let's get together and see if we can work something out. I'm in the Milwaukee area but that isn't too far from you.

Let's go
Well I have met up with John and David here in the Chicago area and the plans are as follows. John and me will trailer our bikes down to Brownsville leaving Dec. 10th probably cross over on the 12th and meet up with David along the way staying in touch via e-mail and this board. It will be a mostly road trip for us (v-strom, triumph trophy and BMW gs adv.) heading down the east cost.
We would still be interested in more riders or meeting up with other people on the way (I have room for three bikes on the truck for the ride from Chicago). Maybe hook up for x-mas somewhere warm and sunny. If anyone is interested please contact one of us. Mike C.

Paul, I do not know anything about buying a bike in Mexico but if you can get into the US I could help you a lot, bikes are cheap here by E.U. standards. If you can hook up with us you are more then welcome to join us. I would be glad to help you out if I can. Check out this link, prices in winter are very negotiable here. Mike C.

Mex is mucho fun
JR We will be leaving the Chicago area on Dec. 10th and drive straight through to Texas. A stop in Huston would be no problem, what would it be like riding to the boarder from Huston at that time of the year? We really have no plans on where to go in Mexico and any ideas would be welcome. I have to be in Nashville tn. on Jan. 3rd for a job but other wise all is possible. My # is 219-365-5520 feel free to call or e-mail me. M. Chill

Guy,
I'm leaving from Chicago heading to SA on a 640 ADV. A bit earlier, but I'll PM you anyway. Would be interesting to see another orange.

I live in Yuma, Arizona (where California/Arizona/Sonora, Mexico and Baja Norte, Mexico meet). If you came this far west, and wanted to travel through the San Luis or Algondones border crossings (heading to Baja), and needed a place to park the trailer, let me know.

Ready to go!!!!
Ok, our little group is starting to confirm up 100% for a trip to Mexico. First there is myself Mike Chill Dyer In. 05 DL-1000 V-Strom, John in Milwaukee Wi. Triumph Trophy and Dan Ontario Canada BMW r1200rt. We will meet up at my place just outside of Chicago on Dec. 9th pack the bikes into the truck and head south to Huston Texas. There we will meet up with JR on his Triumph Tiger and head south on the bikes into Mexico, Hoping to meet up with Dan GS1200 ADV along the way.
Currently our thinking is to do a central route through the mountains then go some place warm for x-mas and end up in Nashville Tn. on Jan. 3rd. Anybody with suggestions for a route please gives us some ideas. We would be glad to meet up with anybody interested in having some fun along the way. Mike C.
