Moroccan Adventure October 2013
Hi everyone,
Two of us are heading to Morocco from Nottingham for the first time this October.
We'll be catching the 5pm ferry from Portsmouth to Santander on Fri 4th October.
Our plan is to get through Spain quite quickly & cross into Morocco hopefully sometime Sunday 6th.
Our return ferry to Portsmouth is on Sat 19th at 8:30pm so we have up to 10days to explore Morocco before we need to start heading back.
Is anyone on the same crossing to Spain or heading this way at the same time? Would be nice to meet for a chat & one final before catching the ferry across the Med!
Cheers! Ben

Hi Paul,
Looks like we'll just be a day or two behind you then. It would be great to meet up over there. Do you have a planned route? We were just intending to see where the road takes us. Is this your first trip?
Cheers. Ben

We're on the same ferry as you on the way
Theres 3 of us in 2 4x4's a black Landcruiser and an Isuzu Trooper.
We're planning to blast through spain heading into Morocco Sunday evening or the first ferry Monday morning.
We then head down the coast to Essaouira, a day off there to catch up with friends then down the Plage Blanch and into the western sahara before looping back up through the Anti Atlas and the High Atlas and back to the Uk on the 25th. Happy to convoy down some of way or just share tips and on the ferry

Hi Again, we have no planned route through Morocco really, same as you, just see where the road takes us for a while. One of our group is flying back from Marrakesh so we have to go there at some point, and the rest of us need to get to Rabat to get onward visas as we are doing Africa all the way round.
Theres 6 of us on bikes and 2 in a Landrover.

Hello all:
I have connected with a couple of you, but I thought I would repost. I am a solo overland traveler, 61 yo American, heading to Agadir on Oct. 1st. I will be heading to Dakhla about a week after, then across West Africa. If any of you need help with your support vehicles, I am totally available. I think with the upheaval in Egypt there will be more of us on the western route.
Please let me know if you would like to meet. I understand, if all else fails, meet at the Sahara Hotel, Dakhla, to convoy to the Morocco/Mauritanian border. And get you visas, since they are not issued at the border.
