morocco 2012
hi
anybody out there traveling around morocco/north africa with 4x4?
although i've travelled through egypt/jordan/syria/lebanon a few years ago on a organised tour on a back of a truck.
Drove to mongolia in banger in 07 sleeping by the roadside most of the times apart from a few nights in some dodgy hotels along the way,my wife has never been on road trip and has never slept in any sort of a tent.
I have already bought my self a good 80 series uk model toyota lc and the long term plan is to first circumnavigate africa heading down the west coast all the way to cape town and back up through east coast and then carry on from there as HEALTH,time and money permits.
AS some of you can understand and know the costs of prepping a overland vehicle i would like to go off into the wilderness for a couple of weeks in april may to see how the wife gets on without the home comforts and copes generally with over landing life style.
So the plan is to team up with 2-3 other vehicles doing something similar in north africa to give us some idea and experience without getting into too much trouble as not to put us off for life time.April/May would be ideal time for us.
thanks a lot

Time of year
Hi Nomad,
I have a trip planned for December 15th (UK) to Jan 14th (return) via spain in an old landrover 110. Best time for me to take that much time off work.
If you are out there then, give me a shout and we can link up.
Cheers,
Martin

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
