Normandy at the end of July

My girfriend and I are riding down to Normandy from Denmark at the end of July. 2 up on an FZ6. There may be 1 other with us...on another bike.

If anyone else is going at that time and would like to meet up for a meal, ride or it would be good to hear from you.

If anyone else can give hints on good camping places it would help.

Hi
If you are riding down to Normandy Look out for a village called Pre en Pail, We have a hotel here and look after any overlanders passing through, Not pushing the hotel here just fellow travellers as we are at present preping a 300 TDI for the Baltic states end of 2008, Our boiler room has spent many nights drying out leathers, Sorry that we are into four wheels but if you fancy a the first is on me!!!!

on the way there is an excellent camp site in the middle of 'poix de picardy' if it fits with your itinery.

to return, why not go south to samur and follow the river to Troyes and back into Belgium from Verdun. really good bike roads

Thumbs up Hell, why not?

Not pushing the hotel here just fellow travellers [quote]

I don't see why you should not, so long as it is done "in the best possible taste"!
How is anyone to know about you, where you are etc if you don't?
So, I would think that a post in the appropriate accommodation forum would be in order and see, thereafter, if others are prepared to support your premises with a good review.

You might want to check with Grant, but this is surely what the new section of this website is designed to achieve.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
