Also travelling East
I'm also on that route, leaving the UK the last week of September and heading down through Greece, Turkey, Iran Pakistan and India.
radioactiveangel, When are you planning on leaving? I'm hoping to get to Munich for the end of Oktoberfest and then head on after I've recovered from my hangover.
Cheers
Daryn

Overland to India
the idea is to travel 6-8 weeks to goa. we think to start the trip ca. 20 of september.
we will start to make the visas in august. for pakistan visa we need ca. 1 week and for iran up to 3 weeks.
to Daryn take care that you do not find snow in east turkey. often in october there is allready snow in the mountains.
i have a blue mercedes bus, so it will be easy to find me....
greetings from switzerland

Indian Visa
hello radioactiveangel,
better you do your indian visa in islamabad pakistan, because the indian visa start to run after the embasy make the stamp in your passport. so if you want to stay 6 month in india and you travel allready 3 months to arrive at the border you have only 3 months left.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
