Pillion looking to ride
I will be attending the HUB event in the U.K. in June. In the meantime I'll be in Bulgaria (Sofia), Macedonia and Montenegro. Would love to find person(s) with bike also traveling around who would enjoy some company for a few hours or days. I have my own gear. In late June and July I hope to visit Scandinavia, and would like to ride there also (to there from the U.K. would be ideal.) I'm American, 52 yo, female, a writer.

Writegirl.
Hope you find your pilot for the onward departure to destinations new.
If you were in South America then I'd offer you a tour around.
Great idea. B

Hi John,
Thank you, I'm definitely interested in riding pillion with you for some of that, in particular Turkey, Romania, Hungary, maybe Morocco and Iran... at this point I'm still working on my calendar, do you have a rough schedule worked out yet? I'll know more after the HU Event in mid June. Thanks for getting in touch. Julie

Hi Julie,
I don't have a firm itinerary yet, but I'll be working from west to east so I'm guessing that I should be in Turkey sometime around the end of August and into September. I plan to cover as much of Turkey as I can. I used to own a property there so I'm very familiar with Turkey but there is so much more to see there and it's amazing country. I'm hoping to complete the trip by the end of October before the weather gets colder. If I was going to Iran it would be sometime towards the end of September or beginning of October.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
