Pyrenees October 2018 4x4
Hi,
I am heading into the Pyrenees on 22nd October 2018, just a short 10 day trip. Originally 2 vehicles but the other had to drop out so ATM just myself and my wife in our Land cruiser 80.
Just wondering if anyone else will be out there the same time.
Safety in numbers and all that.
Based in the South West England.
Cheers

I’ll be out in the Pyrenees for 2 weeks and then Portugal for 2 weeks on my own in a Defender 130, so if you need any advice let me know.
Wish I could get back out for October!

Hi Tab.travels,
When are you going?
What route are you taking in the Pyrenees?
I have enduro biked some of the endless trails in North Portugal around Bragancia and Porto and few 000 miles south. Very varied and good fun, enjoy.

I’m leaving on Sunday I’ve got a GPX route from a friend who has done it before but I will try and record my own routes out there and document them a bit better.
For Portugal I’ve got a 5 year old gpx file for a transportugal route - don’t know what to expect really for that one but it’s part of the fun! I’ll record my route there as well.
The plan after that is to quit work by the end of the year and start going further afield.
I’ll let you know how it goes and happy to share the routes if you want them.

Sounds great.
Transportugal is one I have done, on a bike 2 years ago, very varied, can think of a few places that will be challenging in a 4x4 but plenty of ways around.
Be very interested how you find the Pyrenees and how it compares to Portugal.
Be safe its hot in Portugal atm .
