Salar de Uyuni - October 2014
Hey
Im doing my first solo motorcycle journey ever and now I am in La Paz. Im gonna stay here for a while, since there are so many activities to do in the surroundings. One of the highlights will definitely be Salar de Uyuni by motorcycle.
Is there any other solo motorcyclist (or group) interested in teaming up and riding through the salar together in October, preferably sometime during the first two weeks?
Reply in the thread or send me a message
Cheers
Linus

Since your in La Paz now ask around if they're doing the census anytime soon. If they are leave, nobody is allowed on the streets for any reason except for police and census takers for 24hrs and yes this means you. We got caught there around this time 2 years ago, might be time again

I asked around, and apparently it is next weekend for a few days only. Thanks!

I'm planning to ride solo to Salar de Uyuni also! However, I'm still in the planning stage since I'm in the Cusco area at the moment. Will you be able to post updates if you can get a connection along the way? I'd be very interested in hearing about it.

Don't have a specific date yet. Still trying to figure out whether to start in Peru or at the border in Bolivia. I'll post here when I know more.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
