Texas to Torres
Hey David,
I'm planning to travel from Texas to S.A. in September on a Suzuki DR650. Let's keep in touch and we'll see if we can meet up. I travel, camp and speak Spanish. Don't have an itenerary except for a few notible sites and festivals I want to see.

Hi David (and others on thread)
I also live in Seattle and planning to head south for a year. I'm also planning another year on the other side of Earth. My current plans are to Leave August 25th-ish so that I can do Burning Man on the Way South. I just checked out your Facebook page and realized that we're both friends with Arne Svendsen (small world). Talk to you soon!
Cheers,
Aaron

Might meet up in South America
Hi David,
We might catch up in South America. Will be arriving from Australia in Chile mid October. We plan to be in Tierra del Fuego for Christmas. We will be meeting up with Bernd and Heidi on their KTM's who are on the road heading across Russia right now. We are starting a RTW tour this time (did London to Melbourne in 03-04). Bernd and Heid are old friends we met in Iran and and travelled with at various times, then put them up when they came to our part of the world. I'm a bit old for the surfing/kite flying thing (being over twice your age!) but enjoy good company and fellow world bike travellers. We are on a red '08 1200GSA. Hope to see you on the road late '11 or eary '12 as we head North.

Hey amigo
My friend Tom and I left home (Lake Stevens/Everett), this past April, and are now currently in Nicaragua.
I too happen to be a 6´6´´ eagle scout, who is no longer aspiring, but now, doing!
Keep it real man, and feel free to contact me here via the hubb or whatnot.

Hi Aaron,
I was wondering if you are still on target for an August 25th departure? When are you crossing into Mexico? I'm heading south in early September from Austin, Texas. I'm 44, fit, experienced traveler in Latin America, speak Spanish and riding a DR650. I'm interested in riding with like minded folks for some or all the way. I have a plan, but not an itenerary. The plan is to take my time. If anyone is heading the same way about the same time, I'd be interested in talking.
I've started a website that has my loose plan and gear list. I'd love to hear your feedback on the packing list. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
