August 2015. Moscow to Kazakhstan via Pamir mountains (check the route via the link)
Start / Finish: Moscow(Russia)/Almaty(Kazakhstan)
User: Lyonchik
Route: Moscow (Russia) -> Astrakhan (Russia) -> Bukhara (Uzbekistan) -> Samarkand (Uzbekistan) -> Dushanbe (Tajikistan) -> Khorog (Tajikistan) -> Murghab (Tajikistan) -> Sary-Tash (Kyrgyzstan) -> Osh (Kyrgyzstan) -> Almaty (Kazakhstan)
Main Dates: Cross the Kazakhstan border near Astrakhan around 17.08.2015 -> Finish 3 weeks later.
Vehicle: Suzuki DR650SE 2008
Notes: I'd like to see the ancient cities of Central Asia - Bukhara and Samarkand (Tamerlan capital). I'm going to ride across Pamir mountains via Pamir Pass. This road was built by Russian empire about 150 years ago to insure "uninterrupted " supply to those remote areas of empire. Even these days this road could let you go to the most extreme, wild, uninhabited AND beautiful place of the World. I'll try to cover the legs from Moscow to Bukhara as fast as possible. Mountain legs will be covered very carefully to insure that I can enjoy the scenery in the safe way. Some camping is to be made between Khorog and Osh. I'll do my best to plan 1 or 2 days off in the mountains. As the plan suggests this is quite serious venture, thus I'm looking for the partner for that trip. I'm quite flexible regarding the dates. Route could be adjusted. If it sounds attractive, please mail me. leonid_boev@bat.com
Couple of sentences about me. I'm Russian mid-30, IT guy. Sometimes quite pedantic, sometime careless :-). Have some motocross, enduro and mechanic skills (non-professional). Thus mechanic expertise is more than welcome. Just graduated Red Cross emergency First Aid 2-days training.
