South America - Late Start
Hello Riders,
I thought I'd start a new thread for people leaving later in the season but still looking to meet up with some fellow travelers for a trip down to the bottom of South America and back.
I'll be leaving from Fort Lauderdale on the 1st of November. I plan on crossing over into Mexico by the 7th in Pharr, TX.
My ride is set up to raise money and awareness for Parkinsons Disease. Check out my site www.20thousandmilesforparkinsonsdisease.com. I’m trying to raise $150,000 for the National Parkinson Foundation in Miami, Florida. We are well on our way with a big party coming up during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Let me know if anyone is in South Florida area at the end of October. We could meet up for a at a library or something.
For everyone already heading back up North, I can’t wait to hear some stories! See you on the road. Be safe.

Santiago
Hi Atwok
I am flying into Santiago on Jan 4 and then heading down to TDF by way of Mendoza. If you can hold up some would love to have someone to ride with.

I am the lust child of two librarians. I grew up behind those big shelves. I frequent them on weekends for a pint or two. I'm normal.

I should be back on the road and departing San Diego sometime in December. So far traveling solo, but could use a riding partner.

Diego!
Right on! I was just there visiting my girl last week. Pity I didn't post this two weeks ago. We could have all met up.
Anyway, I'll touch base with you when I cross over in to Mexico from Texas. I assume you are crossing from Cali? A copper canyon meeting in Mexico might be in order?
Let me know. Take care man, have fun.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
