Starting on 7.07, Germany towards Australia via the Silk Road, Tibet, Nepal, Thailand
HI All,
I am Seb (28) and start next week the 7th of July from Frankfurt/Germany towards Australia, and would like anybody who is around at the same time to give me a shout, so we might team up for a few miles. I drive a BMW F650 Dakar and like also the off roads, see my app. schedule below, I have all Visas and ready for take off.....;-)
Also I am joining an HU traveller (RotorNR) for the China/Tibet tourguide, and he (we) are still looking for more travellers who want to join. Starting from Kirgistan Tourgard pass on the 10th of October for 17 days all the way to Kadmandu/Nepal. He drives a Defender I am on my bike.
Please let me know if you want to join or have good advice for me, as its the first time for me doing this trip ;-)
I will be camping, couch surfing, hosteling and one in a while look for some nice comfort in a hotel...
Also please contact me if you need any information towards the trip as I have just done my planning and went through all the hustle with Visas, German Documents/Insurances, Bike preperation, Packing....
Thanks and looking forward to your respons!
Seb

I recon 3 month Australia and 2 month South East Asia sounds better.

Mate this is a very tight schedule!!!!! YOU ARE RACING, Try to Enjoy your once in a lifetime trip. Just Central Asia will take at least 3 months. Iran a month (30 day Visa) Nepal and India!!!! only 1 month?? plus shipping to Thailand!!
My suggestion would be 3 months South East Asia and at least 6 if not 12 months Australia. Pls note WET SEASON in Northern Australia from Dec to April.
Cheers Fearless

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
