Sweden to Mongolia, June time.. Anyone up for it..
Hi there,
I leaving on a 6 week trip, on my Honda nx650, around the 15th july 2013,
I'm British, male 30yrs old, living in Gotherburg.Sweden. Thats why my plan was to ride to Stockholm, take the ferry to Finland, then head to Moscow. After that i will ride to Kazakhstan, back into Russia, then finally Mongolia. Ulaabaatar. I would like to follow the same route as 'Kudu Adventures'..You can check it out to get a better look. I had planned this trip with a friend but things have happened at his work so he can't come. I'm would really like to ride with some else for lots of obvious reasons.
If anyones interested please get in touch...

Questions
Hej,
Thanks for getting in contact. Sounds like a very nice trip. Just a couple of questions.
Is it easy to get fuel on the way, in the more remote place, what sort of range should my bike be able to do so i don't get into trouble. And do you think i will meet other bikers going the same??
Thanks again

Hej again, as posted by Chris: browse the HUBB
I never needed to cover more than 350 KM between petrol stations (Russia, Mongolia) and as you will go in summer you will run into other travellers.
You are always welcome to Varberg for a coffee and talk about our travels.
Contact me if interested, mailadress is: service-at-vincents.se

Hi!
I'm planning a trip from Barcelona to Ulaanbaatar this summer. I'm leaving on the last week of June and have planned for 2-3 months to get there and back.
The route would be France-Italy-Slovenia-Hungary-Ukraine-Russia (Volgograd and Astrakhan)-Kazakhstan-Russia (Barnaul)-Mongolia-Russia (Irkutsk-Moscow by train) and back home.
It'd be great to meet some fellow travellers for parts of the trip, especially Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, send me a private message if you are interested.

Around the World 2013
Unfortunately I'll be slightly ahead of you. I'm leaving the UK on May 8th and going via Moldova, Elista (largest Buddhist Shrine in the West), and then the Aral Sea and the Charyn Canyon. I have full interactive mapping from Romania to Vladivostok. Perhaps we'll meet on the way.

Does anyone on this thread have any more accurate dates, I'm more than happy to meet up with a few of you. I'm thinking of leaving London uk beginning of July. Was thinking of going to a festival in Europe shortly after that but will miss that if I can hook up with some fellow travellers for the journey.
Please revive this thread with what your plans are....
Neil I have emailed you, has it come through?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
