Living in Belgium (m/44). I'll probably be doing the Alps in September (ktm 990)... Maybe with a bit of northern Italy.
What are your plans? All the best, Victor

Keith - not planning to spend time off road. a gravel road here and there is OK. The motorcycle I keep in Europe is an R1100RT. Not great at off road.

Victor - plan to arrive in Germany around 10 August 2016. My moto is in Heidelberg. Hope to pick some locations to book lodging and then do ride outs for 4-5 days and then move on to another location and do the same. That way I don't have to find lodging every night. Want to spend 4-6 weeks in Alps and Italy. Preparing to ride to Mexico and board boat for Cuba to enjoy some warm weather after the holidays. Will work on fall trip in Europe later in Spring. I'm a young 60 and no longer work. What are your trip objective. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss.

Hi John,
If you need suggestions on where to ride in the Dolomites, let me know! I live in the Dolomites and grew up riding here. I have maps with itineraries that I can share with you. I also created some PDFs with day trips from my town. If you need accommodation, my family rents apartments to tourists. I lived in the NYC/NJ area for 5 years and came back to Italy with my American wife last year. It's nice to be riding in the mountains again! Let me know if you need any help!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
