Tbilisi and Baku until 13th July

I'm hanging around in Tbilisi until my Azerbaijan Visa kicks in on 6th July then travelling to Baku to wait (again) for my Kazak Visa to start on the 13th

Give me a shout if you're in the area.

Cheers

Mark

hmmm... given my Kaz visa isn't valid until the 13th and having read the "fun" thats available in Azerbaijan, I am seriously considering sitting in Tbilisi for a few more days next week- Its a nice place to be and I could move closer to the old town. Then get to Azerbaijan the weekend of the 11th then sort out the ferry for on or after Monday 13th.

Tbilisi is cheap laid back and from what Ive read Baku is not.. Not worried about other peoples experiences too much, I take what I find, but cant see much point waiting in Baku for a week when Georgia is cool.

Decision made...

With my Kazakhstan visa not valid until the 13th July I would effectively be stuck in Baku for a week. My mistake in getting the visa dates, but hey I didn't know better at the time - Travel is an education amongst other things. Also I understand the authorities only give 72 hour vehicle permits on entry whatever the entry visa says, so it all makes sense to sit tight for a while and travel to Azerbaijan once I have an exit strategy.

So hanging around in Tbilisi until Friday 11th if anyone is passing through give me a shout.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
