I am planning on doing this trip early next year as well, however I wont be doing it on a bike-- I'll be in a VW camper van (possibly with my dog). I've traveled with bikes/on bikes through Central and South America before though. I was thinking of starting in California but would be willing to go over to Texas instead to start my trek. If you dont mind being trailed by a big orange van maybe we could work something out. FYI though, I will be continuing down to Columbia or Ecuador so I wouldnt be coming back to the US with you.

texas to Panama

Hi.
i am Irish and currently in Vancouver having come across from Nova Scotia. I am on my way up to Alaska at the minute but will be heading down to Tierra Del Fuego later in the year. I'm going back across the States first so won't be ready to head for Panama until November. Is this to early for you? Paddy.

Brownsville to Belize City

Planning to leave Brownsville area in February and travel slowly down to Belize City. Will be two of us riding a BMW and a V-Strom. Maybe we can meet up for at least part of your trip.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
