Morning all!

I have been planning my trip around the world on my motorcycle since the start of the year.
Now dates are starting to firm I am keen to make some contacts to assist each other with cost sharing through the typical problem countries!

I plan on LEAVING Myanmar into India on the 25/04/2018 to meet up with a friend in India to ride through India and Nepal (Himalayas and mountainous regions) for a month and a half.
That being said i would be looking for humans in arms to accompany and share costs for anywhere between 7-14 days in Myanmar (so entering Myanmar from Thailand between 11-18/04/2018) , Transit time (2-3days) from Laos to Myanmar through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia if we enjoy each others company enough, and again Transit through Thailand (2-3 days) From Malaysian border through to Cambodian border.

I will firm dates for the Thai side of things if i get some interested parties.

I would like to spend more time in Thailand but the costs of doing so with a motorcycle and guide just seem stupid expensive at the moment! I am thinking about devising a plan to transport the bike to storage at the border, hiring scooters to burn around on for a few weeks, organising for the bike to be at the Cambodian border when i leave, then once I get to the Laos/Thai Border, doing a transit tour from there to Myanmar to start the Myanmar Tour.

Anyone is welcome to join on any part of this leg!

Entry to India is a hard date however anything through Malaysia - Thailand - Cambodia - Laos - Thailand is not at the moment unless I have inmates with solid dates that I can join up with to reduce costs.

Thailand's restrictions really have been a thorn in my side as it is basically the gatekeeper for my onward travels its very frustrating as I don't enjoy bleeding money however anyone willing to share in my pain is welcome

Anyone is welcome on my trip, I am an Australian leaving Canberra on 01/01/2018 to be in Darwin to ship to Dili two weeks later. From Dili the usual island hop through Indonesia to catch the Onion Boat onward to Malaysia!

From India it will be Pakistan-Iran-Turkey-Greece then through Europe to meet a friend to travel through Europe for a while! From there it will be Africa then once I've decided I can't go back to my old life it will be shipped to South america to continue the adventure.

I have changed my travel dates to now enter Myanmar on the 05/04/2018 and leave on the 15/04/2018.

I will get additional Quotes for Parties of 2 and 3.

Group of 1 person: 3790 USD per person
Group of 4 person: 1150 USD per person.
Group of 5 person: 1060 USD per person - Single Supplement 210 USD per room per person.

The price is included all permit and border custom, hotel with twin room sharing, tour guide, escort car, sightseeing fee, breakfast, toll road fee. And excluded Visa, other meals, fuel, insurance, drink and personal expense.

I am on a RTW now, on a Triumph and in Russia. Shall be in Indonesia odd Jan 2018 and ride to India in Feb March thru same route. Shall stay in touch. Cheers!

- I'll send an invoice , only for 2 ppts / 2 mbs , that is usd 3780 and please transfer 25% usd 945 , let's say usd 1,000. In return for early bird reservation , will give you discount usd 180 ( so you will have to pay 3780 minus 180 = 3600 minus advance 1,000 = 2600 at that time you confirm the incoming date.

If 4 ppts / 4 mbs or 6 / 6 at that time , you will get discount usd 230 and 300 respectively for early bird.

Heading west like yourself tin but sounds like you may be a bit early for me? I was planning April to enter Myanmar but I think I'm pretty flexible on the timing in April as I am undecided on whether to ship my bike from Australia to silk or fly it to Bali or something as the few hundred dollars difference in shipping will pale in comparison to going through Myanmar with a group which could save much more!

We are a French senior couple travelling around the world with our campervan (small one on a Fiat Ducato, NOT a motorhome!!!).
We would be interested in joining for crossing Myanmar at the beginning of April 2018.
The route is a bit different from what is on Burma Senses' website (14 days, 13 nights) so that some legs of the journey have been extended (for instance Mandalay-Kalaymio 363 KM/8 hrs) one leg instead of 2.
We are not interested in accomodation. What is the price difference for that?
At the moment, our vehicle is in Australia and will be in Singapore by mid-November. We whish to be kept in the loop.

About the itinerary we would prefer a longer one, like the one which is on Burma Senses' website 14 days/13 nights (crossing by motorhomes). The first and last legs of the trip are splitted in two. In this case we would need a new quote with an option without accomodation.

We wish to take advantage of this crossing to see as much as possible of Mayanmar.

We remain open to discuss further on about that.

Ok this is great, we have some reasonable numbers now that should make it quite a bit more affordable.

Firstly let's agree on a date of entry for Myanmar.
Is the 05/04/2018 fine with everyone for a meet up at the Mae Sot border?
If any of you want to meet up a little earlier in Thailand or through Thailand to share some costs through there we can figure out that one as well. As mentioned before I'll be doing a blast from Malaysia into Cambodia through Thailand so it costs as little as possible on that leg then spend time in Cambodia and Laos.
From there I would like to figure out a way to spend a reasonable amount of time in Thailand while eventually making my way to Myanmar. Whether that being able to store my bike and hire a local scooter or store the bike at one of the borders.

The dates of my second entry into Thailand will be up for debate dependant on my options to extend my stay in Thailand without the cost of the damn guide! If anyone is interested in this leg let me know, I'm going to work on a reasonable solution this week.

Back to Myanmar,
Number of days: since there are potentially 4 of us, maybe more I don't mind doing a few more days but we will see what the cost comes out as for 14days/13 nights before deciding definitively on this.

I will contact that local guide and osuga. We will see how we go with the local guide as we require more than just the guide to come along with us and whether that guy knows everything that is required for us to cross without any border and authority hassles is yet to be determined.

Also one things , i would like to tell about the Motohome couple .
We can not arrange all the places without hotel because of our Government policy.
Some of the places are Prohabit area and can not sleep in your motohome and must be stay at hotel . So now I check the places which can stay without hotel .

( 7 Nights is ok can stay without hotel and 7 places is not ok , must to stay hotel ).

So i already quote everything in price . please check and please let me know openly .

1 - We are OK with April 5th, 2018 as the entering date in Myanmar.
2 - Thank you for accepting a longer trip (14 days).
3 - We understand it's not possible to stay in the motorhome in all places because of the Government policy.
4 - You say "it is assumed there are 4 people (2 bikes + the motorhome)". It would be interested that people who participated to the thread confirm their intention.
5 - Thank you for getting quotes from Osuga and/or others. We will ask a French agency (Gulliver travels and tours) for a quotation (for 4 or 5 participants) and we'll see if there is any difference.

THAILAND (to BMP 776)

We are presently working on the new regulation for travelling thru Thailand with a foreign vehicle. So far, we did not hear about "a guide"!!!
What is your information about this subject? where did you get the latest up date?

Apparently their may still be some borders you can cross without the permit but I feel it's only a matter of time until they're all enforcing the new rules.

Agreed it would be great to get a check in of who is a definite for this trip. We should be able to collectively lay down our individual deposits against the quote reference number with the operator once we have some agreement from anyone who may want to join or who has already decided to join.
