Thailand - Myanmar - India March 2018

Hello,

We are a party of 3 motorcyclist booked and deposited for a Thailand – Myanmar – India crossing departing on 16March 2018 (flexible a week either side).

We are looking for other travellers to join the group to reduce the overall cost.

The tour will be

Day 1: Sadao Border - Chumphon (Enter Thailand from Malaysia)
Day 2: Chumphon - Ayutthaya
Day 3: Ayutthaya - Maesot - Myawaddy (enter Myanmar)
Day 4: Myawaddy - Golden Rock Sightseeing
Day 5: Golden Rock - Naypyidaw
Day 6: Naypyidaw - Bagan
Day 7: Bagan rest and sightseeing
Day 8: Bagan - Gangaw
Day 9: Gangaw - Tamu Border (Exit Myanmar- India)

The cost includes permits and all border customs,3 star hotel room , tour guide, escort car, entrance fee, breakfast.

At the moment we have a twin share cost of US$1795 but expect this will reduce to around US$1450.00 per person if we can get another 2 people.

Get in touch if you wish join up and enjoy this experience.
Cheers

Heya, are you still looking for more people? I'll be traveling solo on a DRZ400 and doing some fairly last minute planning.

Hi Hsinclai

Yes still looking to enlarge the group. I reckon for each person coming on board we should be able to get the per person cost down by around US$200.00 each. Ill need to check that.

Can you work with the 16th March departure from the Malay/Thai border and the itinerary as it is detailed above ?

How close are you to being able to make a booking?

Let me know and Ill firm the price with the Burmese agent.

Cheers

Hello Bondie

Good to hear from you.

The company we are booked with is Asia Senses. They have been responsive, competitive and have previously assisted an acquaintance with positive feedback.

I have requested a revised costing based on others joining the group and will let you know when I hear.

At what stage are you likely to be able to commit to a date for this crossing ?

Cheers

Hi Dave.

Thanks for that. just to let you know i have been in contact with Min Min who says she is aware of your intentions.

I'm fairly sure I'll be able to commit with in the next few weeks once i have my ducks in a row. How does that sound?

My rough plan at the moment is: tiki tour around a bit of Oz mid Jan to mid Feb, then ship to Kuala Lumpur & head north. A mad dash with you fella's & then I'll continue meandering north west. Im hoping to be in Greece for the summer.

Cheers
Bondie

Hi Bondie

That all sounds fine. There is also another person interested in joining so we may have 5 people which will bring the cost down to around US$1500 based on single or less on share twin.

Three of us are booked and deposited so it's a firm trip. Be great to have you along.
Cheers

Hi guys,
I'm planning to leave KL in late january/february, so far my intention was to cross thailand and laos first for a bit and then move over to myanmar, what are the possibilities of joining you guys in Thailand for the Myanmar border crossing?
Also. I'll be on a malay registered bike, so I'm currently working on a list of documents/requirements for each country plus getting started with visas. I also plan on getting back to europe from KL.
So Im quite interested to join you but I'm still figuring stuff out. What is the latest date to confirm in case I want to join you?

Hello Mundscheck

Yes that sounds fine and it would be good to have you along. I am not aware of any deadline for booking so just get in touch when you have a firm plan. I would imagine the earlier the better.

Best wishes

Keep in touch

Hey all,

Keep me posted-- If I can't ship around Thailand and Myanmar, I might want to join a group if it isn't too late. I'll be in Kuala Lumpur by Christmas of this year, and then take a break. Riding a DR650 from Australia to Europe, and would love to meet up with people in India/Nepal/Pakistan/China if paths cross!

Thanks,
Elisa

Hello Travelbugblues

Thanks for getting in touch. I have a quote from Aisa senses confirming the price for the tour based on 5 people to be US$1295.00 in a twin share or US$1495.00 if in a single room. This is a for a 10 day Thai/Myanmar crossing to include hotels, guides and permits (as described at the start of this post).

At the moment we are at 4 people. We have one place left to allocate which is open for the first person who wishes to book. According to the agent once the group goes above 5 people extra escorts are required and the price starts to creep up again.

I can only suggest getting back in touch as soon as you can as there are a couple of other people interested also.

Best wishes with your plans.
