The Balkans in September
Hey everyone,
I'm planning to be in Split, Croatia at the start of september and riding for 3 weeks through the Balkan (thinking of Montenegro, Bosnia and Croatia mainly) back towards southern France. Anyone up to join me? I currently don't have an off the road worthy bike, tho gravelroads like the Majstorska Cesta road shouldn't be a problem of course. I don't have a route yet, and I would like to camp out a lot but am not wary of the occasional ho(s)tel.
Let me know if you're up for it!
Cheers,
Bosaapje

What bike are you thinking of taking. Currently looking at playing around on my new GS and that area would be great fun to ride around. Probably could only do 1-2 weeks max though.

I'm bringing a Triumph Tiger 1050 and I need to mount new tires, but I don't think I'm gonna slap on some ultra offroad ones, so the max offroad I'm willing to go is just graveltracks.

There's a British chap in Gračac, Croatia, who hosts a lot of TET riders on their way through. Good source of local info and very helpful. You can find him on the TET facebook pages.

Thanks Tomkat! Unfortunately, I don't have FB so I can't get in touch with him.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
