Hi,
My name is Dave and I'm a 24 male living in Perth Australia. Currently planning a trip through south america retracing the epic journey of Che Guevara starting off in Buenos Aires, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. With everything going to plan leaving sometime in mid september 2012.
Was looking for a mate to join me on the life changing journey or part of the way as it would be great to have someone share the experience with.
Also any tips or advice would be much appreciated as i have limited experiece in planning such a long trip!

Hi Dave
I'm Lou, 32 from the UK but living in Perth as well. I've been here over a year and a half and planning South America in May/June 2012, not quite decided if to do it on a bike yet (or have enough dollars!).
Anyway, before I came to Oz, I rode a bike from Dubai to Alaska with my then partner all through Middle East, Europe and Canada, Alaska for around 9 months. 2 years later, I'm back to dreaming of far away places again and South America is the mission still to be completed!
If you want to meet up and I'll give you some tips etc for life on the road on a bike, I'd be more than happy to!
Just let me know and I'll email you my number.
Lou

Hey mate,
Thanks for the tips, was actually thinking of buying a bike over there in BA, as shipping a bike all the way from Australia is way too expensive! Sounds like you have a bit of experience
What bike did you use for your trip?
Is it easy to buy a bike in BA?
Cheers Dave

Hey andi + Ellen,
Yeah i hear you, so much to plan and organise can sometimes
get lost in the detail eh?
Got a couple of questions to throw at ya that i couldnt suss out from your blog, if thats sweet?
Are you guys learning any spanish heard that it was kinda
essential to get around south america?
Have you got everyday planned like where you are staying and
how many k's you are going to clock each day or is it just a general
plan that gets worked out along the trip?
Cheers dave
