Tucson to Ushuaia - end of Aug

Hi . . . anyone heading to South America from Arizona at the end of August? So far I have have done 20,000km of my 50,000km NYC-SF-Prudhoe Bay-Tucson-Ushuaia-BA trip. I will reach Tucson around the 25th and continue south of the border around the 27th. riding a BMW GSA . . . get in touch if you are interested in riding together some parts of the remainder of my trip.

I don't know if you have a specific schedule, but I will be leading a group of motos Following the Dakar 2013 the beginning of the year starting in Lima Peru and down the coastTours - adventure motorcycle tours in Peru and all South America

Do you think you will be mid Peru by then or already past?

Otto, I am in Casa Grande now and will be heading for McAllen Tx.and down to Panama where I live, I am thinking of starting on Thursday, from here I have done the trip 14 times. Give me a call if you can--480-334-8841.

cheap (70 pesos), clean hostel, parking inside right in old center of town

Heading to Peru from Montana soon. Am in Great Falls now. Will be riding a 2013 Honda CRF 250 L and am not in a hurry. (Hope to get in plenty of off-road klicks. roncon09@yahoo.com

Ruta Chiapas

Hostal Ruta Chiapas Ejercito Nacional 5
3 blocks from mercado, 4 blocks from Zocalo,
familiar atmosphere, inside parking but ya gotta lift yer bike
up over the high sidewalks, 70-80 pesos a nite depending on mood of the dueña.............
boy has San Cris changed, I was last here 34 years ago, but still a good place to hang, some moto shops here too, good riding roads are all hardtop now AND no cartel action in this area according to locals

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
