Hi Turby,
Yes, will be starting and finishing in south of UK which should suit you. Via Bulgaria is not a problem

Hi, I am game for anything, it would obviously depend on the groups objectives. As I said I want to do as much off road as possible.
I aim to leave here (Bulgaria) mid June 2017 and then ride east via everything and anything through central Turkey, should take a couple of weeks depending on how good the fly fishing is. I will cross into Georgia and spend anther couple of weeks or so there checking out mainly the mountains. You notice I have not mentioned towns or cities? They will be avoided at all cost. From the cross the boarder by the quietest route possible into Russia. A day or at most 2 days up to the Kazakhstan boarder, then crack on east trying to stay more or less on a compass bearing due east. The back in to Russia for a quick sprint to the Mongolian boarder. I will spend a couple of weeks here wandering around and then reverse the route, this time keeping farther south in Kazak, and north in Georgia and Turkey.

Good ! Our plan is similar, but plan to go slightly earlier, would be passing through Bulgaria around 28th or 29th of May. You say you can be flexible, would that be within your range of flexibility ?

Trip from Germany to Mongolia June 2017
Hi, me and my girlfriend are planning a trip from Germany through Bulgaria, Turkey, the Stan, and Mongolia from June to August 2018. We do not have more details yet. We want to travel as more as possible off-road. The bikes are KTM 640 Adventure and Husqvarna TE 610. It will be nice to travel together if our ways cross somewhere.
Greeting,
Barni

Was going to do similar trip with group out of Holland, but it just got cancelled. If this is still a go I am interested in joining. Will fly over to Europe from Vancouver end of May and visit relatives in Holland. I can join you from there or meet up in the UK.
Can you let me know if you are still taking riders in your group. Will also need to know what countries to check for visas needed.
Offroad & camping is fine by me.
Honda Africa twin CRF1000.
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave, I am not sure what's happening about the "group" but I am leaving here (Bulgaria) about mid June and will travel east taking as much off road as I can find. The visa's I will need are Russia, and Mongolia. It will have to be a multiple entry one for Russia as the route goes in and out a few times.
You can contact me on chris.pascoe@hotmail.com if your interested.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
