Routes , accommodation and dates are flexible at the moment if you have any preference.

Trails will be fine on an AT. But beware of dry river beds (oueds)... especially if you ride solo.

Hi I will be in morocco around that time. Am leaving Ronda on the morning of the 17th Oct and then an early ferry across the straits stopping in asilah for the evening. Rough route is down towards Meknes stopping in azrou then towards er chebi, across to the todra gorge, up the Tiz en ticka, Marrakesh, across to Essaouira before heading back up the coast. On a new multistrada so no real off roading for me as the bill if I drop it will make me weep
Happy to meet up somewhere or ride together for a while what ever suits.......its my third time on a bike there so trying to see the bits I missed before

Hi I would be interested in this trip. Have holidays booked between 6th till 24th though. Ride R1200GS. Zero off-road experience but should be ok with light trails, dirt roads etc. Just like to add zero touring experience if that matters.

Trip
OK - Great.
So the other Chris gets to morocco around the 17th. I think I'll get there around the same time.
We are planning to meet up for a chat sometime. Where you from Mutz?
I've toured all over the Europe but never in Morocco and Chris has been a few times so the no experience should not be an issue.

Dates
At the moment it looks like Im going to get the 5pm ferry from the UK on the Friday 13th and the one back on the 29th.
Gets us back late Sunday.
It looks like from the UK they go Wed , Friday and Sunday and Return Thursday , Saturday and Sunday.
Ideally Id like to sail Friday 13 and return either 2 weeks later Thursday to get a weekend to recover or Saturday and just ride to Birmingham on the night.
My email address is my username on this site @gmail.com
Mail me and we can all have a skype chat next early next week.
The other Chris seems to have a plan already but as its my first time it looks as good as anything else at the moment.

I'm headed that way as well on an Africa twin also.
I'm leaving Ireland in late Sept and riding through France and Portugal.
Be great to have company for the border crossing and the trip south.

Hello Chris
Have you got room for one more?? I would be interested in doing Morocco in October. I live in Brighton and ride a KTM 1190 (non R). I did Mongolia, and the Pamirs in 2015 so have a bit of experience.
Regards
Stuart

Hi Stuart
I am meeting up with Chris up in Oxford tomorrow evening to see what he would like to do. My dates are fairly fixed, I arrive in maroc on the 17th Oct and have a return ferry from nth Spain end if that month..... Everything in between that is pretty flexible. If you email me on chgpines@gmail.com I can either meet u one evening/afternoon halfway, the black Bull in Henfield comes to mind, or let you know via the net what Chris wants to do. Confusingly I am called Chris as well but live a bit nearer you then the other one (Birmingham).

I would be interested in joining up for some/all the trip. Im not sure if I can fit in the time yet, but it might work out for me. I have done a couple of France, Spain and Portugal trip during the last 12 months on my own. Currently on XT660Z bought specifically with Morocco in mind. Currently based in Norwich and wrong side of 50 yrs old.
