USA May through Sept
I am planning a trip from Georgia to the western USA starting sometime in early May and returning in early September. The general concept is to find unique towns, events, festivals etc and visit them. For the most part the trip will be planed. I plan on having a video "blog" on the web that will be about 1 - 2 weeks behind the actual real time trip. There will be a supporting staff that will create the final video, images, and written blog from the raw "data". Anyone want to come along? I ride a BMW K1200RS so there will not be any off roading if we can help it. There will be both camping and hotels.

Hi Whitney,
I'm planing a cross country trip starting in May, and ending who knows when?
My plans are loose, I just want to hit the road, discover the USA and learn a thing or two. I'll be starting from Connecticut, passing through the Horizons Unlimited travelers meetings, and spending some time in california, the rockies, and south dakota.
I ride a BMW f650gs which means our machines aren't very compatible, but nevertheless I would like to ride with you for some time, schedule permitting.
Your plan about finding unigue town and events is interesting. It must be hard to find such obscure events.
Let's keep in touch when dates approach...

Washington State to South Carolina July 2007
Howdy,
I will be leaving Belllingham WA. on July 22 heading EAST. Must be back in South Carolina on August 4th. I don't know if our paths will cross, but one never knows. I will be at the June Horizions meeting in North Carolina. I ride a Red V-Strom 650.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
