Vancouver Isle - South America
Im leaving on my airhead GS end of October 2013. Going straight down US coast to avoid the weather . As I have previously travelled the coastal US Mexico is where the adventure begins. I am wondering if there are any others on the same path who might want to pass tips along to me as Im solo and am going in to this trip without a lot of planning and really just winging it as I go.It might be nice to meet up for a drink and tell stories .

Sounds like a great trip. I'd love to go but I don't have the funds or the time right now!
Have a good trip!

Hi Randy -- Seth here in Penticton, planning to ride a newly-acquired 1100RT to Baja and parts south (plan to meet up w a buddy in Panama to early December... but am very flexible, with no set itinerary.)
Departing Canuckistan around Oct 21, overnighting at a bud's in Salinas and thence to the HU meeting in Cambria October 24-27 (Details at http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events/california-2013) Maybe you want to leave a little earlier and attend?
In any case, feel free to contact me. -Seth

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
