Wladiwostock
Hello all,
I`m planing a trip to Wladiwostock 2010. Around April, May. If I have a good performance I will go round the wolrld. (Japan, Alsaka, Kanada USA - back to Europe).
It is a long disdance through Sibiria. I would prefer a partner. In any case for security.
However, that`s my experience during Russia 2009.
Is there everyone ?
Greetings retep

Hello retep,
Where are you starting your trip?
What are you riding?
Do you plan on camping or using cheap hotels?
I would also prefer a partner through Siberia.
Any chance you would go the other direction? I am planning the same route but starting in the USA, Russia, Europe and back the the USA.

Sorry, Lance, I didn`t answer all your questions.
I ride bmw 800 gs. My experience in Russia is to look for a cheep accommodation. I allways go with tent as well.
Thats funny. We would meet as in Sibiria. I eastward , you westward. A good through. Everathing is possible. But Sibiria is also boring. I would spend more time for USA. I never have been there.
How do you get from USA to VL ? By air plane ? What is the cost ?
Greetings retep

Hi,
I too am planning a trip from the USA over to Vladivostock (possibly via Japan, if I can afford it) then through Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and back to the UK...
I hope to ship my bike from the UK (I live in London) to the US in May, and am looking into then shipping the bike from the US to Russia (or Japan). When are you thinking of going? Would be good to at least meet up and perhaps ride at least part of the trip...
I ride a KTM 990 Adventure. I've ridden in Siberia before - but only in the western bit - around Ekaterinburg.
Cheers,
Eryl

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
