About Nepale-Entrance via Kathmandu Airport
Hello!
We (a german couple) are actually travelling with our motorbike through Laos, then Kambodia before we go back to Thailand, to arrange the air-transport from Bangkok to Kathmandu in Nepale.
The questions are: - Do we get the Nepale-visas there at the airport direct or not? We plan to have visas for India, Pakistan and Iran in our passports when we leave Thailand. Because that are the targets after Nepale.
- Do we have any probs because we don't have backflight-tickets? Only oneways... A good idea, where to get cheap tickets?
- Is there a recommended guesthouse to stay or a good travelagent, for clear the paperwork at the airport?
- Where can we get maps for Nepale, Pakistan (special: Karakorum Hwy.), and Iran? Is there a good hunting-place in Bangkok or in Kathmandu?
Thanks a lot so far

Hi,
The answers are:
- You will get visas at the airport. No return flight needed.
- Cheapest option from Bangkok is AFAIK Bangladesh Airways, Royal Nepal is little more expensive. Book well ahead.
- Plenty of guesthouses with possibility to store a bike in Kathmandu. I like the www.kantipurhotel.com . Negiotiate the room rates.
- Buy the maps in Kathmandu.
Regards
Lars

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
