Any concerns for an Australian buying a bike in the US to ride the Americas?
Hello, my idea is to buy a US registered bike to ride from Alaska down to South America, is there anything i need to worry about with paperwork or insurance?
Thanks!

As is the case in Australia, each state has its own rules regarding paperwork, amount of insurance necessary, proof of residency requirements and whether or not aliens can legally own and operate a vehicle in that state.
Pretty sure there is a thread here somewhere on which states are easiest.,

No problem at all as long as you have an address, in California at least.

There was a thread somewhere that listed states that made it easy.
Washington state all you need is money, local address makes it easier on them but not required. Washington has a 8% sales tax, so i would suggest you check out Oregon or one of the other states that do not have sales tax.
If you need assistance on this end let me know and if I am not on the road I will do what I can.

Shouldn't have any problems. As long as you have a drivers licence with the proper endorsements from your country of origin.

First identify the specific states in which this is possible. Then do the obvious.
People have gotten seriously hung up when they purchased bikes in states where they cannot be registered and/or insured. Do your research, including a search of these forums.
Hope that's helpful.
