Bike License?
What countries out there can I ride a bike in using just my car liciense? Or where is it best to get a license that is globaly recognised?
By gettting a license I mean a simple test that proves you can actually ride, not a huge buch of theoretical pages to sit through, and then be able to ride any size bike when you want..... not just piddle around on a scooter for a year before you can ride a 125cc.
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers

all of south america in my experience, was never asked for it which is good seeing as i dont have one. A ''friend'' of mine scanned his car licence, photoshopped in the confirmation bit for the bike part of the licence and then printed it out and brought that down to the AA international driving licence office (where they accept photocopies of licences as proof) and left with a brand spanking new international driving licence for both car and bike. If you dont have time to sit the test like ...

Ah faking documents brings back warm fuzzy memories of wet printer ink and the ozone smell of the Laminating machine.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
